The Romney campaign is using footage from his recent trip to Israel in a new ad which promises that Mitt Romney will be a better ally to Israel than President Obama. The ad hits Obama for not visiting Israel during his first term highlights Romney’s declaration that Jerusalem is the capital.

“Who shares your values?” the narrator asks. “As President, Barack Obama has never visited Israel and refuses to recognize Jerusalem as its capital.”

“Mitt Romney will be a different kind of president—a strong leader who stands by our allies,” the narrator continues. “He knows America holds a deep and cherished relationship with Israel.”

The ad ends with Romney in Israel: “It’s a deeply moving experience to be in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel.”

Both Romney and allies on the Jewish right have begun a campaign recently to win over some Jewish voters in swing states like Florida by playing up Romney’s dedication to Israel.
