Mitt Romney will join top fundraisers for his campaign, several lawmakers in contention for the vice presidential spot and Bush operative Karl Rove at a weekend retreat in Utah, reports the Washington Post.
Bundlers who have raised $100,000 or more for the campaign are expected to attend the event, hosted by campaign aides and surrogates at the Deer Valley resort in Park City, Utah. More than a dozen top GOP figures are expected to attend, including VP prospects Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and South Dakota Sen. John Thune.
Karl Rove, who helps run the super PAC American Crossroads, will also attend, which “could raise questions because of campaign finance laws barring any coordination between super PACs and actual campaigns,” according to the Post.
The retreat begins Friday and ends with golf on Sunday.
