Mitt Romney cited the Navy as an example of an area where he wanted to bulk up the United States military, saying that our navy is smaller now than any time since 1917. He cited a dwindling number of ships and said that’s “unacceptable.”

He also pledged will not cut our military budget by $1 trillion, which he said is a combination of President Obama’s cuts as well as the cuts that would go into effect if the sequester went into place.
