Romney Close To 1,144 Delegates Necessary For Nomination

After winning the Kentucky and Arkansas primaries on Tuesday, Mitt Romney is within striking distance of taking the Republican nomination outright. According to the Associated Press, Romney only needs 120 delegates in order to reach 1,144, the number necessary to win the nomination. Romney is likely to hit the threshold next week after the Texas primary on May 29.
