Kevin Madden, a senior adviser to Mitt Romney, called President Obama’s immigration directive today “a political calculation, rather than a policy calculation,” and signaled that the Romney camp will instead stay largely focused on the economy.
“The Governor’s going to focus very intently on the issue of the economy,” Madden told MSNBC’s Chris Cilliza. “I think the message that he has to Latino voters, Hispanic voters, will be related to what he can do to put the country on the right track and how it can help, how it will help folks who want more opportunity in this country.”
