The Romney campaign has decided to open more fundraising events to the press, the AP confirmed. The new rules aren’t entirely set, but Romney will likely invite a small number of reporters to larger fundraising events, particularly those where he will offer remarks, which is what President Obama does as well.

This week, Romney has at least six fundraisers in New York and New Jersey, among the last big events that might be closed to the media. The Romney campaign was embarrassed about two weeks ago when reporters outside a Romney fundraiser reported on what they overheard, which included more policy detail than Romney regularly reveals on the trail.
