Mitt Romney adviser Bay Buchanan went off on President Obama Monday morning when she accused the president of either being “completely clueless about what is going on in this country” or simply not caring in an interview on CNN. Host Soledad O’Brien was asking Buchanan about Romney’s remarks on Friday in which he seemed to oppose hiring more teachers, cops and firefighters — comments the Obama campaign has seized on to attack Romney.

Buchanan, whose response became increasingly animated, ultimately blamed Obama for public-sector job losses and said that Romney was both against growing government and for hiring the public-sector workers communities need. “He obviously wanted states to hire who they believe they need to take care of communities. Those three groups are critical to society,” Buchanan said.
