Columbia Journalism School was tasked in December with conducting an independent review of reporter Sabrina Rubin Erdely’s story. Other news outlets, most notably The Washington Post, had poked so many holes in Erdely’s reporting that Rolling Stone was forced to append an editor’s note to its story stating there were serious discrepancies in the account of the alleged rape as told by “Jackie,” the subject of the article.
The school will also discuss its report in a press conference Monday at noon ET.
Charlottesville, Va. police recently suspended their investigation into the alleged gang rape after finding no evidence that the incident described in the Rolling Stone article occurred at UVA’s Phi Kappa Psi frat house.
