The RNC is out with a new web video attacking President Obama for offering the same promises he did in 2008, arguing those promises have failed to make Americans better off now than four years ago. The video is picking up on a new GOP theme they intend to push this week: the idea that Americans’ lot has not improved under Obama.
The video, called “We’ve Heart It All Before,” compares Obama’s speeches from 2008 and 2012 in which he uses similar language. “Same speeches. Same promises,” text reads at the end. “Are you better off?”
