Research In Motion (RIM), the Canadian mobile giant behind the BlackBerry line of devices, is launching its much anticipated new BlackBerry 10 operating system on Tuesday at several simultaneous events around the globe (New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Dubai, Johannesburg, Jakarta and Delhi). The company will be streaming a main feed of the launch event events live on its website. Click here to watch on desktop Web browsers and here on mobile

RIM is poised to unveil the first two smartphones running BlackBerry 10 at its events, along with availability, specs and pricing information. Just a few short years ago, BlackBerry was the dominant smartphone operating system in the U.S., but has since been fallen off sharply as consumers shifted en masse to smartphones running Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone, which runs iOS.
