As a weather system continues to bear down on Florida in the run-up to Monday’s Republican National Convention kick-off, officials have scheduled a press call Saturday at 6:45 p.m. “to discuss Tropical Storm Isaac and preparations to ensure the safety of Florida residents and visiting RNC Convention delegates and guests,” according to a release.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and a top official from the Romney campaign will be on the call.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott has canceled his Monday speech at the convention, the Miami Herald reports.
