A dubious “strike plan” photo released by North Korea’s government last week revealed major U.S. cities as potential missile targets should war break out — and raised eyebrows by its inclusion of Austin, Texas.

When asked why he thought North Korean President Kim Jon Un, seen in the photo, included Austin on the map, former Republican presidential candidate and Texas Gov. Rick Perry boasted that it was a sign of the remarkable progress the state has made under his administration.

“Economically what has happened in Texas over the course of the last decade has made this city an epicenter for a lot of techology, a lot of economic development,” Perry told CBS News on Wednesday, “and I think the individuals in North Korea understand that Austin, Tx is a very important city in America as do corporate CEOs and other people who are moving here in record numbers.”
