Richard Carmona, surgeon general under George W. Bush, kicked off his Senate campaign Tuesday in Arizona where he’s vying for the open seat vacated by retiring Sen. Jon Kyl. Carmona released a 2-minute video introducing himself to voters, touting his personal story as a poor kid who joined the army, went to college, opened his own trauma center, and became surgeon general.
