Researchers have updated world temperature records to include more data from the Arctic region, one of the regions with the greatest level of warming, the BBC reports. The way sea surface temperature is recorded has also been updated. HadCRUT, which is compiled by the UK Met Office’s Hadley Centre and the Climatic Research Unit (Cru) at the University of East Anglia, is one of the main global temperature records and dates back to 1850, according to the BBC.
