RNC political director Rick Wiley released a memo Tuesday morning touting Republicans’ ground game operation four weeks before the election. Mitt Romey’s debate performance, Wiley says, increased volunteer turnout, which they say has increased 63 percent since Wednesday.

On Saturday, the memo says, Republicans held a “Super Saturday” wherein 30,000 volunteers made 2.5 million voter contacts on Saturday. And compared to 2008, the memo indicates that they have knocked on nearly three times more doors than Republicans did in 2008.

Since the spring, nearly 98,000 individuals have volunteered their time to make phone calls or knock on doors. In total, they have made more than 35 million voter contacts, including 6.5 million door knocks. Volunteers have made four times more phone calls and knocked on thirteen times more doors than at this point in the 2008 campaign. That’s nearly three times as many doors knocks made by Republicans in all of 2008.
