An envelope that tested positive three times for ricin, a deadly poison, was intercepted Tuesday at an off-site mail facility dedicated for the U.S. Capitol, according to CNN.

The envelope was addressed to Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS)’s office, per Politico. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid confirmed that a letter with ricin or another poison was indeed sent to Wicker.

A spokeswoman for Wicker told TPM that the situation was “an ongoing investigation,” directing all inquiries to the U.S. Capitol Police.

Kasie Hunt of NBC News has more:

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said the letter came from a person who frequently writes to lawmakers, according to Politico, confirming that law enforcement officials had identified the individual responsible.
