The White House on Friday will announce an “accommodation” for religious groups concerned about the administration’s rule requiring health insurance plans to cover birth control, ABC News’ Jake Tapper reports:

Sources say it will be respectful of religious beliefs but will not back off from that goal, which many religious leaders oppose since birth control is in violation of their religious beliefs.

NBC’s Chuck Todd confirmed that the White House will address the rule on Friday. Tapper reports that it’s possible President Obama himself will address the controversy.
