Report: U.S. Troops Arrive In Turkey

American troops arrived in Turkey Friday to operate Patriot missile batteries to defend the country from neighboring Syria, CNN reported, citing state media. 

In mid-December, the New York Times reported the U.S. would send two Patriot missile batteries and 400 troops to Turkey. According to Friday’s report, a group of 27 troops landed in Gaziantep, Turkey, on Friday.
