Mitt Romney’s campaign hosted a small but exclusive event aboard a Florida developer’s yacht in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, according to ABC News. The party was attended by top donors, Romney relatives and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell.
“He did attend,” Paul Logan, a spokesman for McDonnell, told TPM.
The event, according to ABC News, was intended for supporters who raised more than $1 million for Romney’s presidential bid.
There were conflicting reports on whether the yacht flew a Cayman Islands flag or a Burmese flag (ABC reports it was a Cayman Islands flag), but the craft does appear to be registered in the Cayman Islands.
