The Bangor Daily News reports that Brent Tweed, a Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) supporter, was elected the chair of the Maine Republican Convention in a narrow vote, a sign that Paul backers may be able to increase their share of delegates the state sends to the national GOP convention. The result comes after a pro-Paul convention secretary was elected earlier in the morning.
