Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has demanded that the nation’s IT Ministry block YouTube, Reuters reported on Monday. The announcement, following the anti-American riots flaring through the Islamic world over the past week, came in conjunction with previous moves to limit access to Innocence of Muslims, the anti-Islamic film thrust to prominence following last week’s attacks in Benghazi.
Ashraf’s announcement followed on the heels of YouTube restrictions imposed in numerous nations, including India, Indonesia, Libya, and Egypt, according to BBC.
