President Barack Obama intends to introduce meausres next month aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the United States, Bloomberg reported.

Obama has reportedly been telling Democratic donors at private fundraisers in recent weeks that he will make the proposals public in July. Bloomberg, citing attendees at the fundraisers, reported that the President has made the pledge when urged by donors to block the Keystone XL pipeline that would transport tar sands oil from Canada to the U.S.

Specifics of the intended proposal are unknown. Obama notably addressed the environment at a fundraiser last month, telling Democratic donors that he doesn’t “have much patience for people who deny climate change.”
