Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Tim Murray (D) is expected to resign from his post, the Boston Globe reported via Twitter on Wednesay. The Globe said that news of Murray’s resignation came from a senior official within Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick’s (D) administration.

Globe reporter Michael Levenson fleshed out the report: Murray will take a position as head of the Worcester, Mass. chamber, a job that will pay more than $200,000.
