Brooklyn-based augmented reality fan Noah Zerkin captured the chance encounter of a lifetime on his smartphone camera when he ran into Google co-founder Sergey Brin sporting prototypes of Google’s upcoming computerized glasses, “Google Glass,” on a New York City subway train last weekend.
But on Tuesday, Zerkin took to the blog Integrated Realities to post more details of his encounter with the enigmatic Google magnate, including some key information Brin revealed about Glass, such as that the first Explorer Edition prototypes, which each cost $1,500 for lucky attendees of Google’s developer conference last summer, “would be shipping out to devs in a couple of months.”
Zerkin also said that Brin told him “there are about one hundred other people” outside of Google’s X laboratory where the glasses are being developed that have prototypes right now. See Zerkin’s tweet of his photo of Brin on the NYC Subway below:
