Chelsea Clinton’s mother-in-law, former one-term Pennyslvania Congresswoman Marjorie Margolies, filed papers to once again run for Congress, Politico reported.
Margolies was first elected in 1993 and lost her seat in 1994 after she said she would oppose President Bill Clinton’s budget, which included tax increases on the rich. After talking to the president, she ultimately changed her mind and voted in favor.
This time around, her campaign can likely expect to get a high-profile boost from the Clinton family. Five other Democrats are already vying for the seat.
Margolies’ son, Mark Margolies-Mezvinsky, is married to Chelsea Clinton.
