One theory investigators have discussed in the Newtown massacre is that Adam Lanza’s rampage was inspired by Norway shooter Anders Behring Breivik, the Hartford Courant reported Monday. Breivik in July 2011 killed eight people in a bomb attack in Oslo, Norway and 69 others in a shooting at a nearby island.

From the Hartford Courant:

The theory is based in part on several news articles about Breivik that investigators found in one of Lanza’s two bedrooms at the Newtown home where he lived with his mother, Nancy Lanza, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation.
