Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) called for “red state representation” in House leadership on Wednesday, a day before House Republicans will select the majority’s leadership for the 113th Congress, during an interview on Washington, D.C. talk radio station WMAL.

“I think we need red state representation in both our leadership as well as the organizing committees that we have,” Price said.

Price was responding to a question from “Morning on the Mall” host Larry O’Connor about whether he would be willing to seek the role of speaker if Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) is not re-elected to the position.
