Ohio Rep. Bob Gibbs offered a new take on the “you didn’t build that” line of attack at a rally with Rep. Paul Ryan Thursday, arguing that businesses made roads possible, not the other way around.

Gibbs described starting his own farming business and said he was incensed by President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” line — a reference to the roads and infrastructure that help facilitate small businesses.

“Guess what, Mr. President,” Gibbs said. “Those roads were built because we got a free enterprise system and Americans create wealth and pay to build those roads. We not only built the business, we built this country!”
