Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO) said she is leaving Congress in February for the job of president and CEO of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, the AP reports

Emerson has served in Congress since 1996, when she replaced her husband, former Rep. Bill Emerson, after he died of lung cancer.
