Rep. Cummings Rails Against Wasteful IRS Spending (VIDEO)

AP

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the ranking member on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, fumed against reported wasteful spending at the Internal Revenue Service on Thursday, saying that videos made by agency employees and perks for conferences had “no redeeming value.”

“That’s my money,” he said at a hearing in Washington. “That’s the lady who got the early bus this morning — that’s her money. The one who makes $35,000….it was wasted.”
