Influential conservative commentator Erick Erickson today picked up on the DNC’s new ad against Mitt Romney (see our coverage of the ad here). Using the tagline “Mitt vs. Mitt,” it depicts Romney as a flip-flopper by juxtaposing sound bites of Romney taking both sides on issues like abortion and health care reform.
Erickson’s take: The Obama campaign already knows Romney will be the nominee, but they can weaken him if they can drag out the GOP primaries, keep conservatives weary of Romney, and brand him early on as a flip-flopper.
