Sunday’s edition of the Republican-leaning Rasmussen tracking poll shows the two presidential candidates tied at 49 percent each. On Saturday President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney were locked at 48 percent in the Rasmussen tracker as Election Day nears.

“Obama leads among those who have already voted, while Romney leads among those deemed likely to vote,” Rasmussen wrote. “Thirty-nine percent (39%) of voters are projected to be Democrats and 37% Republicans. Both candidates do well within their own party, while Romney has a nine-point advantage among unaffiliated voters.”

The Rasmussen tracking poll uses 1,500 automated interviews with likely voters conducted over the previous three days. It has a sampling error of 3 percent.
