The new Rasmussen poll of Florida shows Barack Obama narrowly edging both of the leading national Republican contenders.
The numbers: Obama 47%, Romney 44%; and Obama 47%, Santorum 46%.
It is interesting to note that Romney just recently won a very strong plurality in the state’s Republican primary, with Santorum in a distant third place. But in this poll, Santorum actually does slightly better for the general election than does Romney.
The survey was conducted on February 9, and has a ±4.5% margin of error.
