Rasmussen: Obama Job Approval Highest Since July 2009

President Obama’s approval rating in Monday’s edition of the Republican-leaning Rasmussen tracking poll is at its highest level since July 2009. Obama’s approval is at 54 percent in the Ras tracker against 45 percent of likely voters who disapprove of his job performance. Those numbers mirror the numbers from July 1st, 2009, the last time Obama’s approval hit 54 percent in Rasmussen’s data.

“Ninety-two percent (92%) of Democrats approve while 86% of Republicans disapprove,” Rasmussen wrote. “Among those not affiliated with either major party, 47% approve and 49% disapprove.”

Rasmussen uses 1,500 automated telephone interviews with likely voters spread out of the presvious three days. It has a sampling error of 3 percent.
