Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Thursday spoke about the views of young people, or what he called the “Facebook generation” on Thursday, a group that makes up a good number of is supporters here at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“The Facebook generation can detect falseness and hypocrisy from a mile away,” Paul said. “I know. I have kids. They are the core of the leave-me-alone-coalition.’ They doubt that Social Security will be there for them. They don’t believe those that feed them a line of crap.”

“Ask the Facebook generation whether we should put a kid in jail for the nonviolent crime of drug use and you’ll hear a resounding no,” he said.
