Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel attacked Mitt Romney’s policies as simply a repeat of the Bush era in an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday with a reference to the famous 1993 film in which the main character wakes up every morning on the same day. “He’s basically laid out the policy of a ‘Goundhog Day,'” Emanuel said.
In his convention speech in Tampa this week, Emanuel said Romney “basically laid out the policy of a ‘Goundhog Day,’ which is we’re gonna go back to the very things that led to a recession, led to a middle class that for the first time in American history, in a decade, actually saw their economic security decline.”
