A new poll from Quinnipiac University out Wednesday shows President Obama down two points against former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney in the swing state of Virginia, but ahead of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich by five. This follows a Public Policy Polling (D) survey that showed Obama up by six in the commonwealth, and over Gingrich by seven.

The Quinnipiac poll also shows the US Senate race in Virginia between former GOP Sen. George Allen and former Dem Gov. Tim Kaine to be very close, as expected. The survey shows Allen with a two point lead at the moment, while PPP showed a five point lead for Kaine last week.
