Quora, the question-and-answer website famous for the eclectic but often startlingly detailed answers provided by experts in respective fields, on Wednesday took another step toward becoming a full online publishing platform, releasing a new blogging editor for users that will allow them to post their own text and images unrelated to questions or answers, and a new Quora app for iPhone 2.2, which “will be available soon” and which contains a robust rich-text editor, allowing users to have access to all the blog formatting tools they have on the desktop and then some, including: “bold/italics/underline, lists, numbered lists, links, inline photos uploaded from the camera roll or saved from the web, and blockquotes.”

Quora was co-founded b former early Facebook engineers Adam D’Angelo and Charlie Cheever, though Cheever recently stepped down from his day-to-day roles at the site.
