President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney are tied in Virginia, according to a new poll from Purple Strategies released Friday, which shows Obama and Romney both geting 47 percent of likely voters. A month ago Obama had a 46 percent to Romney’s 43 percent in Purple’s polling of the Old Dominion, as Romney now leads independent voters by 3 points, according to their analysis.
The president has a razor thin lead in the PollTracker Average of Virginia.
