Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) were the first presidential candidates to weigh in on Friday’s shooting at a Colorado Planned Parenthood that left three including a police officer dead. Both included the hashtag #StandWithPP in their tweets Friday evening reacting to the attack.
Today and every day, we #StandWithPP. https://t.co/oifqTQLx1X

We proudly #StandWithPP of Colorado Springs and the brave law enforcement personnel who fought to protect it.

It is still unclear whether the suspected gunman, identified as Robert Lewis Dear, had a motive in attacking the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs. He was detained by authorities after an hourslong standoff.
The White House released a statement on the shooting Saturday morning, in which President Obama called for something to be done “about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding them.”
