The new poll of Wisconsin from Marquette University Law School shows that the state continues to be polarized regarding Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who is facing a recall election later in the year.

Walker’s personal favorable rating is 46%, to an unfavorable rating of 48%, down from a 50%-45% in the Marquette poll from last month.

Meanwhile, the potential Democratic opponents against Walker remain widely unknown. For the two declared candidates, former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk is at 22%-28%, and state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout is at 9%-14%. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, a potential candidate who was also the Democratic nominee against Walker in the open-seat race in 2010, is at 30%-27%. In addition, former longtime Congressman David Obey is at 22%-19%, and state Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca is at 12%-12%.
