Today, the Pew Research Center released a new poll showing favorability of the Tea Party has dropped precipitously. This is particularly true in districts represented by members of the Tea Party Caucus in the House of Representatives, at 39% favorable versus 50% unfavorable. In addition, the survey shows that favorability of the Republican Party as a whole has also declined, dropping to 36% from 42% in March. In contrast, favorability for Democrats has remained more steady.

These numbers show a big change from where general opinion was last November when Republicans took the House in the midterm elections.
