Poll: Push To Legalize Gay Marriage Leads By Slim Margin In Maine

The push to legalize same-sex marriage Maine leads by 4 points, according to a poll released Tuesday from Maine People’s Resource Center. Just over half over the voters, 50.5 percent, said they would vote in favor of the measure, while 46.5 percent said they would oppose it.

The PollTracker average currently puts support at 51 percent and opposition at 46 percent.

The MPRC survey was conducted Nov. 1-3, polling 905 likely Maine voters via live telephone interviews. It has a sampling error of 3.3 percent.
