As Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R) enters the second half of his first term in office, a poll released Tuesday showed a plurality of voters disapproving of the job he is doing.
According to the latest findings from Quinnipiac University, 42 percent of Keystone State voters disapprove of Corbett’s job performance while 36 percent approve. It’s a slight reversal from where Corbett stood in Quinnpiac’s poll from November, when his approval rating was marginally above water. At that time, 40 percent of Pennsylvania voters approved of Corbett compared with 38 percent who disapproved. More troubling for the Republican, 51 percent of voters said in Tuesday’s poll that he does not deserve to be reelected next year.
Corbett has been in negative territory for much of the last year, as evidenced by the PollTracker Average.
