Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) appears safe for re-election this November, according to a new poll from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling. In addition her fellow Democratic Sen. Al Franken, who won very narrowly in a contentious recount in 2008 and 2009, is also in good shape ahead of 2014.

Klobuchar leads Republican state Rep. Kurt Bills, 55 percent to 29 percent. The poll shows 57 percent of Minnesotans approving of Klobuchar, compared with 29 percent who disapprove.

Franken’s approval rating is 50 percent, to a disapproval of 36 percent.

The survey of 973 registered voters was conducted from May 31 to June 3, and has a 3.1 percent margin of error.
