Poll: Dem Sen. Cantwell Leads For Re-Election In Washington State

A new survey of Washington state from Public Policy Polling (D) finds that Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell is favored for re-election.

Cantwell leads state Sen. Michael Baumgartner, a declared candidate, by 51%-36%. Other Republicans were tested, as well: Cantwell would lead Seattle Port Commission President Bill Bryant by 50%-36%; and she leads former state Sen. Dino Rossi, the past nominee for governor in 2004 and 2008, and for Senate in 2010, by 53%-41%.

The survey of registered voters was conducted from February 16-19, and has a ±2.76% margin of error.
