The image of Congress has improved dramatically among Hispanics, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll released Wednesday, perhaps a sign that even the nascent discussion of immigration reform has encouraged the burgeoning voting bloc.

At 30 percent, the approval rating of Congress remains extremely low overall. Sixty-five percent of Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing. But among Hispanics, it’s a different story.

The poll showed 56 percent of Hispanics in the U.S. approve of the job officials on Capitol Hill are doing compared with 38 percent who disapprove. Compare that to the ABC/WaPo survey in November of 2011, when only 35 percent of Hispanics approved of Congress and 51 percent disapproved.
