Senior White House adviser David Plouffe argued that Mitt Romney would not fix the immigration system whereas President Obama wants to both pass the DREAM Act and comprehensive immigration reform.
“Governor Romney has said he will veto the DREAM Act,” Plouffe said, referring to comments Romney made during the primary. “Governor Romney essentially said the 11 million people here ought to just go home, they ought to self deport.” Romney, he stressed, “is not going to fix our immigration system.”
