Planned Parenthood Votes, a super pac affiliated with the women’s health organization, is launching a new ad following up on Mitt Romney’s latest statements about abortion, the group announced Thursday. On Tuesday, Romney said “there’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda.” On Wednesday, Romney promised to defund Planned Parenthood and reverse the Mexico City policy.
“Mitt Romney sure has been talking a lot,” the narrator says in the ad. “But all that talk can’t hide Romney’s real agenda that hurts women.” The ad replays Romney promising to defund Planned Parenthood, his desire to overturn Roe v. Wade and his opposition to Obamacare. “[N]o matter how much he talks around his record, Mitt Romney is wrong for women’s health,” the narrator ends the ad.
The ad will run in Virginia and Colorado, two states where women are expected to play a crucial role in the election.
