Piers Morgan was set to interview Missouri Republican Senate nominee Todd Akin on Monday, but the embattled candidate cancelled. So instead of speaking to the politician who used the term “legitimate rape,” Morgan pointed out the set’s empty chair.
“Congressman, you have an open invitation to join me in the chair whenever you feel up to it,” Morgan said. “If you don’t keep your promise to appear on the show, then you are what we would call in Britain a ‘gutless little twerp.'”
